Hi Everyone,
Happy New Year! I am a long time subscriber of Spellbinder’s monthly club kits and with the holidays, I am a little behind using the kits. I put the monthly kit on hold while playing with the 12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar. I am finally able to catch up with prior month’s kits. In this post, I am sharing the November 2023 Large Die Club of the Month.
I am also playing along with: Say Simon Says Challenge – White on White
This month’s large die club Towering Blooms is beautiful. I think the die set’s modern floral designs would make a fabulous anniversary or wedding card. A white on white design is very challenging for me. To make it an interesting design, I first die cut the pieces in white. To create added interests, I heat embossed the leaves and branches with Ranger’s sparkles embossing powder. I used Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Gilding Polish Pearl Lustre to create pearl shimmer look on white cardstock. It’s hard to see on the photos but the pearly shimmer white look create variation for the flowers and berries. For the floral middles and berry background, I used black cardstock for contrast. For the vase, I dry embossed it using the November 3D Criss Cross Motif embossing folder.
For the background and to enhance the design, I used the November Meandering Floral embossing folder on a A2 white panel. For texture and stability, I adhered two layers of the leaves and branches before assembling the design. I finished the card front with some clear drops.
On the inside of the card, I die cut “hello” with the Gilding Polish Pearl Lustre paper. I used the “Congratulations” from November All You Need Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Kit. This Glimmer Hot Foil of the month comes with many useful sentiments. I finished the inside of the card with an extra floral bud branch.
I love the different layers and textures of the card. Hope you like the card. See you next time.
