Fresh Bloom Hello Mini Slimline Card

Hi Friends,

I haven’t made a mini slimline card in a long time. The Altenew October 2022 Inspiration Challenge is the perfect occasion for this card design. I haven’t participated in the Altenew monthly inspiration challenge before and thought it would be great to join in the fun.

Steps:

I started with inking the Altenew Always Sunshine 3D embossing folder on the raise side with some Olive and Just Green crisp dye inks. I also scatted some Lindy’s Gang Ponderosa Pines Olive magical mica powder. Next, I spritzed the embossing folder with some water, placed a green card stock and ran it through my die cut machine. The shimmer from mica powder and inks created such a pretty faux letter press look. After the panel dried, I cut it down to 2.5 x 5.5″. After adding some gold splatters, I adhered a yellow card stock strip that I inked with Altenew Antique Gold ink.
I wanted to feature the flower from Altenew Fresh Bloom layering stamp set. After heat embossing the outline with Brutus Monroe gilded gold embossing powder, I inked the floral layers with Altenew Rose Quartz, Pink Diamond, Soft Lilac crisp dye inks. For the flower centers, I used Buttercream, Warm Sunshine and Sunray inks. I used Altenew woodless watercolor pencils Coral Bliss and Maple Yellow to add more textures and details to the flowers.
For the leaves, I die cut some vellum and left-over inked backgrounds using the leaf layering dies from Peony Dream 3D Die Set.
I finished the card by adding some Nuvo aqua shimmer and Ranger glitter gel to the flowers and attached the gold “Hello” sentiment along with some gold pearls to tie everything together.
